Benjamin Šeško (simply known as “Šeško”), born on May 31, 2003, hails from Radovljica, Ljubljana, Slovenia. He is a Slovenian professional footballer who plays as a center forward. Starting at his hometown club Radovljica, he joined Domžale in 2018. At the age of 16, in 2019, he signed with Red Bull Salzburg and was subsequently loaned to Liefering for two seasons. Upon his return, he helped Salzburg win three Austrian Bundesliga titles and one Austrian Cup. In July 2023, he transferred to RB Leipzig for €24 million. In his first season, he scored 18 goals, becoming the youngest player in Bundesliga history to score in seven consecutive matches. He renewed his contract in 2024, and in the 2024–25 season, his 21 goals made him the team’s top scorer. In August 2025, he joined Manchester United for an initial fee of €76.5 million, making his debut as a substitute on August 17. Šeško has represented Slovenia at various youth levels; on June 18, 2021, at the age of 18 years and 1 day, he made his debut for the senior national team—a record for the youngest player in the team’s history. In the 2022 UEFA Nations League, he helped his country avoid relegation; in the 2024 UEFA European Championship qualifiers, his 5 goals in 9 matches helped Slovenia qualify for the tournament for the first time and advance to the knockout phase. In September 2024, he earned his first international cap in the Nations League.
