The American stunned world No. 3 Simion Bobi in the Class 6 men’s singles final at the ITTF Para Challenger Spokane, winning 3-1. This victory means much more than a first Challenger gold. Altshuler now moves to sixth in the world rankings, just one step from the top five, after earning 300 points toward his international para table tennis ranking. “It was a tough match in the final, and it was great to get it done,” Altshuler said. “If you told me two years ago, I never would have thought I would be at this level. I want to thank my mom and dad for helping me throughout my whole journey in table tennis.” Altshuler did not dominate the match in terms of ranking or experience.
